''Pina Bausch: la danza dell'anima''

(Pina Bausch: the dance of the soul) is the title of a photography exhibition devoted to this celebrated German dance-theatre artist which will be

inaugurated at the City of Frascati's Scuderie Aldobrandini on Saturday

April 14. The shots were taken by Francesco Carbone and Ulli Weiss, who have constantly followed the choreographic and aesthetic development of Pina Bausch since her debut performances in the 1970s. There are 34 large photos immortalizing her shows set out at the beautiful Scuderie

Aldobrandini: Cafe' Muller, Kontakthof, Blaubart, Bandoneon, O Dido, Nelken, Walzer, Arien, Palermo Palermo, Two cigarettes in the Dark, 1980, Der Festerputzer, Le Sacre du Printemps, Ahnen, Ein Trauerspiel.

The ''Coffee with Pina'' video of sequences from her performance of ''Agua'' is also very interesting. Pina Bausch made her mark on the history of the theatre in the second half of the 20th century. Her approach is considered a lesson in style. The 'Tanztheater' she created

at Wuppertal in 1973 consolidated over the years as a model of contemporary theatre aesthetics, characterized by the introduction of 'non-dance' elements into choreography to generate an unusual form of theatrical realism. The exhibition will be inaugurated at 6.30pm and

it will run until May 13. Opening times: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 10am-7pm.
